IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS
Official clarifications on Cooperative operations, IPPIS remittance schedules, loan processing guidelines, and member welfare updates.
Dear Esteemed Members,
It has become necessary to provide some clarification regarding the current operations of the Cooperative, particularly concerning salary deductions, loan processing, and the Higher Purchase Programme.
1 Salary Deductions & Remittance Schedules
We wish to inform all members that the payment of salaries does not mean that the Cooperative's account is credited at the same time. There is usually a delay between the time salaries are paid and when IPPIS remits the Cooperative's deductions into our account. This delay has significantly affected the timing of some of our activities.
Fulfillment of Member Obligations
Despite these operational challenges, the Cooperative has continued to fulfil its obligations to members. From January to September 2026, the Cooperative has successfully settled nine (9) members who either completed 35 years of meritorious service or attained the retirement age of 60 years.
2 Higher Purchase Programme & Loan Processing
We are also making concerted efforts to improve the welfare of our members through the Higher Purchase Programme, which is designed to make essential items accessible to members at affordable terms. While it is referred to as a Higher Purchase Programme, the Cooperative has deliberately kept the charges as low as possible in order to reduce the financial burden on members.
At the same time, we are working to process and settle outstanding loan applications. These responsibilities, coupled with the delays in remittances, have placed considerable pressure on the Cooperative. Nevertheless, we remain committed to serving our members and improving the welfare of everyone.
We therefore appeal to all members to remain patient, understanding and supportive as we work towards resolving these challenges.
Important Guidelines to Reiterate
Please take careful note of the following operational guidelines governing loan applications and processing:
No Connection Required
Once you have duly completed and submitted the loan application form, you do not need to know or have any connection with anyone for your loan to be processed.
First Come, First Served
There is no seniority system in the processing of loans. All applications are treated strictly based on the first-come, first-served principle, subject to meeting all requirements.
Attach Most Recent Payslip
All loan application forms must be accompanied by the applicant's most recent payslip. Applications without the required payslip will not be processed.
6-Month Qualification Period
All new members are required to have completed six (6) months of active membership before becoming eligible to access the Cooperative's loan facility.
Current Loan Limit
Due to current financial pressures and available resources, members can presently access loans up to three (3) times the amount they have saved with the Cooperative, subject to standard terms and conditions.
We understand the difficulties posed by the current economic situation and the expectations of our members. However, with patience, understanding, cooperation and endurance, we are confident that we will overcome these challenges together.
We sincerely appreciate your continued trust, support and commitment to the Cooperative.
Long live the NPC Staff Cooperative!
Long live the National Population Commission!
